Younger Generation... Well Done!!

Ladies and Gents,

Over the last three weeks I have learned many things about the clothing industry. I have experienced different cuts, fabrics, styles, cloth, etc. However, one thing above all seemed to be the most pressing experiential revelation.... The younger generation is out dressing the older generations!

I think there are several reasons for this fact:
  1. The younger workforce wants a JOB - Remember this is still a very difficult job market, and if a younger professional lands a job, they do not want to lose it! They know how hard it is to get another one.

  2. Advancement leads to more money but also more SECURITY - Again going back to the market... Younger people want to work!! Many younger people have seen their older family members laid off and they don't want to battle that demon

  3. The younger generation wants to bring class back to the working world - Gone are the dotcomers who think you can work to your potential in jeans. Its time to stand up and feel good about yourself as you sit in your corner office.

I would like to close with a saying that the CFO of a large company told me today... He prefaced this saying by illustrating his situation when he was growing through the ranks... "Dress for the job you want... Not the job you have..."

Have fun all, and keep pushing it!!
